Vast Majority of Employers Provide Tuition Assistance
Nearly all senior executives interviewed in a recent survey say that their company offers college tuition reimbursement benefits--as well as other forms of professional development--for their employees.

When Accountemps, a staffing firm specializing in accounting and finance, asked 150 senior executives "Does your company offer college or university tuition reimbursement benefits for employees?," 94 percent responded "Yes."

Likewise, when asked "Does your company reimburse for other forms of professional development or training?," 95 percent of the senior executives responded "Yes."

"Providing educational and professional development opportunities helps companies attract top performers, maximize productivity and boost retention efforts," Max Messmer, chairman of Accountemps, said in a press release announcing the poll results. "Employees who take full advantage of the resources available for learning remain intellectually challenged and increase their ability to take on greater responsibility at work."
