Highest Paid Athletes: Tiger Woods Still at the Top

Forbes recently released its list of the highest paid athletes. Despite recent controversy, Tiger Woods is still in the number one spot for men, while tennis player Maria Sharapova was the highest paid female athlete.

The lists show a pay gap between female and male athletes. Sharapova, the highest paid women on the list, made an impressive $25 million. However, her earnings is only a third of Woods' pay, and is lower than all of the top 10 male athletes.
