The United States is the 14th highest-paying country for information technology
managers, according to a survey by Mercer Human Resource Consulting.

Eight of the world's ten highest-paying countries for IT managers are in Western
Europe, according to the survey, which covered more than 5,300 companies worldwide.
The survey found that the average total pay for IT managers in Switzerland
is $161,900 a year, including base pay and bonuses. Managers in Germany earn
$126,700 on average, while those in Denmark can expect to receive US$116,000.
IT managers in the United Kingdom and the United States rank 7th and 14th and
earn $105,700 and $89,100 respectively.
Japan ($112,300) and Hong Kong ($97,600)are the only countries outside Western
Europe that rank in the top ten for pay.
IT managers in Vietnam ($20,100), the Philippines ($20,700), and India ($26,500)
receive the lowest pay, the survey found.
