Nearly Two-Thirds of Employees Feel They Are Underpaid
Nearly two in three respondents to a recent Boston.com poll don't feel they are compensated fairly.

When asked "How do you feel about your compensation?" 40.4% of respondents answered "I am slightly underpaid" and an additional 24.6% answered "I am drastically underpaid."

Just 24.3% of respondents felt that they were paid fairly. And far fewer felt that they were "slightly overpaid" (6%) or "obscenely overpaid" (2.6%). Finally, some respondents were apparently currently looking for work, as 2.1% responded "I wish I had a paycheck. Please hire me!"

The poll, which ran this month on Boston.com (the online version of The Boston Globe), had over 2,500 respondents.
