“It is no surprise that candidates expect staffing firms to create value for them during their job search,” said Thomas Moran, CEO of Addison Group. “The research shows that the bar is set higher for our team and staffing firms across the country. People expect us to help them achieve their professional and personal financial goals. It is our job to help them meet or even surpass those salary expectations and match those candidates’ expectations with the right career opportunity.”
Findings from the recent Addison Group survey also reveal:
- 70% of respondents planning to use a staffing firm expect to get a larger salary and compensation package because of their relationship with the staffing firm
- 46% of those leveraging a staffing firm expect to get a salary increase of 10% or higher
- 22% of those same respondents expect a salary & compensation increase of 20% or higher
- 42% of people expect no salary increase or may even have to take a pay cut in their next role
Conducted in June 2013, Addison Group’s survey asked more than 1,000 employed and unemployed workers about their job search plans, whether they planned to leverage staffing firms and what their expectations were for salary and compensation in their next position.
