Financial Services Firm Pays $788K for Incorrect OT Calculations

Fidelity National Financial of Jacksonville, Florida, has agreed to pay a total of $778,392 in back wages to 1,895 workers after a Wage and Hour Division investigation accused the company of miscalculating overtime pay.

The Department of Labor's Wage and Hour investigators alleged the company failed to include commissions in its overtime-rate calculations for employees covered by the overtime rules of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The department says the company cooperated with the department and made changes to its payroll system nationwide.
