Most employers say they won't observe Thursday, December 24, 2009, as a paid holiday, according to a survey by Compensation.BLR.com and HR.BLR.com.

Since Christmas Day falls on a Friday this year, the survey attempted to see how many employers are giving employees a four-day weekend. While the survey found that 51 percent of respondents said they won't observe December 24 as a paid holiday, 49 percent said they will.
The survey included more than 290 respondents.
Nearly all employers observe Christmas Day as a paid holiday, according to BLR's Survey of Employee Benefits.
