Reducing turnover is a high priority for most employers, but fewer report that they are successfully keeping turnover to desirable levels, according to the results of a recent Compensation.BLR.com poll.
When asked "Is reducing turnover a high priority at your organization?," 27 percent responded "Yes, and we're keeping our rate low," while 36 percent responded "Yes, but it's a constant struggle," and 4 percent responded "Yes, but it's a losing battle." About one-third (34 percent) of respondents indicated that reducing turnover was not a high priority at their organization.
A recent article in the Wall Street Journal reported that a "small but growing" number of companies are incentivizing their CEOs and other top managers by promising bonus pay if specific goals regarding turnover rates are met. For more about this trend, see our previous coverage.
The Compensation.BLR.com poll included 168 respondents.
