a recent seminar an attendee raised a frequently asked question: "OK, I've heard all about these Internet recruiting web sites like monster.com, hotjobs.com, jobsearch.com, careermosaic.com and the hundreds of other sites like them. But how do I actually get started, it all seems so confusing?"

The answer was simple, "just go on to one of these sites and follow the instructions. You really have to experiment. Try several types of sites to see which works best for you. Some might be too big for you, others not targeted enough to reach the prospects you need. One web site might be superior for you in how it manages responses to your ad, while another doesn't generate the leads you want."

That said, what happens if you find that 3 or 4, or maybe 10 sites are the best for you in terms of results and ease of use? It can be very time consuming to enter your jobs in all those different systems, and then manage the results.

Enter JobLauncher(TM), a new job posting management system for recruiters and human resource professionals from eQuest. JobLauncher enables users to post jobs to over 1000 job web sites and measure which sites produce the best results. The company is currently in a "controlled release", which allows select customers to start using the system during November and December. A full release scheduled for January, 2000.

Early results show that JobLauncher is already exceeding expectations-companies who have used the service so far are thrilled with their results. "The time savings is incredible- I launched 10 jobs to 43 different sites in less than 5 minutes!" said Doug Burns, VP of Retained Search Services at Impact, the fourth largest technical recruiting firm in Silicon Valley.

With no seat licensing fees, JobLauncher customers only pay for the number of jobs posted. Job posting includes a management system that allows users to choose where jobs are posted, save resumes in a secure resume database, track the origin of each resume to a specific job posting site, and report on the effectiveness of their job posting strategy. Pricing begins at $60 per job and decreases as the number of jobs increases. There is no additional cost to re-post the same job multiple times within a 90-day period. Volume discounts and corporate wide job posting packages are available for companies who qualify.
