The Best Part of HR Professionals' Job

When HR professionals are asked to identify the best part of their job, they are most likely to say that they find the work interesting and/or rewarding, according to a Compensation.BLR.com poll.

Fort-five percent of respondents cited interesting/rewarding aspect as the best part of their job, making it the most popular response. The next most common response was compensation, with 16 percent of respondents saying it was the best part of their job.

Sadly, 13 percent of respondents answered "what best part?". Eleven percent of respondents said great support from top management" was the best part of their job. Only 3 percent of respondents said the potential for advancement was the best aspect of their job. Twelve percent of respondents chose "other" as their response.

The poll included 282 responses.

The idea for the poll came from a survey that identified which industries have the greatest percentage of workers who would prefer to remain with their current employer. The survey found that 60 percent of those in the "HR consulting or training" industry said they would definitely like to remain where they are, given a choice.
