Rosemary Haefner, vice president of HR for CareerBuilder.com, shares a few tips to help workers control their weight:
- Use your commute. If you drive to work, park farther away from the office. If you take public transportation, get off the bus or train a stop or two early and walk the rest of the distance.
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator to burn more calories.
- Pack your own lunch to control portions and enjoy healthier food.
- Put in face time. Visit your co-workers in their offices when you need to talk instead of using e-mail or the telephone.
