There are more than 85,000 United employees, and they reside in every U.S. state and in countries around the world.

Despite adverse weather conditions across the system, the airline ended the month with an 82.8 percent domestic on-time arrival rate, and an 80.5 percent international on-time rate, resulting in the best combined domestic and international performance for the month in 10 years. The on-time arrival rates are based on flights arriving within 14 minutes of scheduled arrival time.

"This is a tremendous start to the year for my co-workers and I want to thank them for delivering great operational performance for our customers," said Jeff Smisek, United's chairman, president and CEO. "We will continue to invest in the tools, training, equipment, inventory, and procedures that will allow us to deliver consistent performance for the entire year.
